Left 4 Dead 2 Cold Stream DLC  is an upcoming DLC for Left 4 Dead 2. It was announced in a blog post on February 16, 2011. And also on March 22, 2011 a beta was released  on Steam and remains open for public testing. The release date will be July 24th 2012.

It’s been a very long time coming, but the highly-anticipated the  DLC for Left 4 Dead 2,  Cold Stream, is coming to gamers on July 24 on Xbox 360, PC and Mac. The DLC, which has been available on Steam for PC and Mac for a while, it will include a better and polished version of the fan-made campaign, as well as the first game’s re-mastered campaign, those maps including Death Toll, Dead Air, Blood Harvest, and Crash Course.

After over a year of public testing, Valve will officially launch Left 4 Dead 2 Cold Stream DLC later this month. Left 4 Dead 2 Cold Stream DLC Release Date

The DLC and accompanying patch will launch on July 24, Valve revealed in a blog post. Valve put Cold Stream up for public testing last March, followed by the remaining L4D campaigns (No Mercy had launched before). Now, thanks to the wonders of Valve time, it’s finally ready to roll out.

The Game Developer, Valve has been rotating mutations weekly since February 2010, with only one available at any time. The add-on – which has been in beta on PC and Mac for over a year – will contain four maps based on the original Left 4 Dead; Blood Harvest, Crash Course, Dead Air and Death Toll, as well as the community made Cold Stream.

Coinciding with the release is an update for the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game that allows all mutations to be available at all times. “This will allow players to choose to match into games playing Taannkk!, Gib Fest, or even a user created mutation like Confogl,” Valve explained on the official blog.

There’s no price listed at the moment for the Left 4 Dead 2 Cold Stream DLC , but it’s unlikely to be free, something that, understandably, many fans feel it should be. We’ll have to see in a few weeks when the DLC
